Charles Gardel, was born in 1890 in Toulouse, France. At the age of two, he
emigrated with his mother to Argentina and become Carlos Gardel.
His name is virtually synonymous with Tango, but the origin of the dance itself is
something of a mystery. He is the one who elevated the Tango to a great art, making Buenos Aires
the Tango capital of the world.
Our Tango workshop is dedicated to those seeking to enter the Tango world,
to experience at first hand the myth, lyrics and ambiance of the Tango in
its homeland, as well to learn to dance this wonderful dance.
This intensive course of 8 days allows you to get into the world of the
porteno (the inhabitant of Buenos Aires) and understand the
characteristic psychology of this very famous dance.
Your teacher frequently dances in one of the most prestigious shows in Buenos Aires.
Extension
The best way to enjoy Tango is to see it as the porteno sees it, away from the tourist spots. After having graduated in our Tango classes, you are advised to extend your stay in Buenos Aires and practice in the several famous clubs of the city. Buenos Aires, often quoted as the Paris of the South, has an active nightlife and plenty of cultural events to delight everyone interested in the Argentinean culture.
