Banana Beach Resort Location

Banana Beach is located on the beach area of Ambergris Caye in Belize known as Mar De Tumbo. This is one of the best natural beach areas of Ambergris Caye. There is a natural break in the reef about a quarter mile off shore. This break allows ocean waves to flow in more freely. Therefore deeper water and a sandier sea bed. Mar De Tumbo beach is south of San Pedro Town's edge about 3/4 of a mile. The Caribbean Sea is to the front of the hotel and all of the amenities on either side or back!

The Accommodation

Banana Beach consists of 2- four bedroom, four bathroom suites, 3- three bedroom, three bathroom suites, 3- two bedroom two bathroom suites and 42- one bedroom, one bathroom suites with full kitchen and living room area. The suites are all furnished with locally made Rattan furniture, decorated with ceramic art and hand woven tapestries from the Yucatan. The two, three and four bedroom suites have Jacuzzi bathtubs.

The Deluxe Ocean Front suite at Banana Beach Resort are larger and located on the ocean front corners of the building. This allows for additional side windows and a more panoramic view from the private ocean front balcony.

There is a King size bed in all the Ocean Front suites. The Courtyard suites have Queen size beds.

Banana Beach suites have full kitchens and living room areas. The suites are all furnished with locally made Rattan furniture, decorated with ceramic art and hand woven tapestries from the Yucatan. Included in the living room furnishings is a Queen size sleeper sofa or Futon. All suites are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV, direct dial telephone, and in room safe.

In addition to the suites Banana Beach has 18 2nd/3rd upper floor Private Balcony rooms and 6 ground/1st floor Veranda rooms. The rooms have a King size bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, cable TV, refrigerator, direct dial telephone, and in room safe.

At Banana Beach All suites and rooms have direct access to two garden courtyards & swimming pool areas. The courtyards are lavishly decorated with clay pottery from the Yucatan. Local tropical plants have found a new home in this pottery. Our courtyards are tropical terrariums.

Activities

Golf cart and bicycle rental are available from Banana Beach. All snorkelling, diving, fishing, as well as trips to the Mayan Ruins and Jungle rivers on mainland Belize can be arranged from the hotel. Kayak & Wind Surfing rental is available from the dive shop located 200' from Banana Beach.
