The Resort

Green Parrot Resort is on Maya Beach, 6 miles North of Placencia. From your doorstep you can experience the two worlds of Belize.
The 2nd longest barrier reef in the world off shore is dotted with islands for world-class snorkelling, fishing and scuba diving. Lush rainforests dotted with Mayan ruins are in the "backyard", 30 minutes to the Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary where 10,000 acres of rain forest offer walking trails swimming under a waterfall and home to the only Jaguar preserve in the world and you will enjoy 14 miles of sandy beach from your own front door!
Local fishermen still paddle by in dugout canoes and dolphin come to play just offshore in front of our beach houses. Come relax, explore and enjoy yourself.

The Green Parrot added a new bar and restaurant and a new beach bar in the fall of 2002.

The Accommodation

6 Beach house cabanas and 2 Thatch Roof Cabanas (Seagrape and Parrothouse), each with front deck with a view of the Caribbean Sea, a main floor living-room with a double hide-a-bed, kitchenette to prepare light snacks, bathroom with shower and hot water, upper loft bedroom with queen size bed. Each cabana accommodates up to 2 adults and 2 children (Additional charges for over double occupancy: Children under 12 $12US/day, Guests 12 and older $25US/day per person

Activities

Relaxation:
Ideal place to simply relax or walk on the beach, crawl into a comfortable hammock with a good book or snooze away.

Biking & snorkelling & glass bottom canoes & kayaks (available for free to guests):
Why not bike the three miles to Seine Bight Village and seven miles to Placencia Village, enjoy some terrific snorkelling or simply enjoy a 25 minute paddle to False Caye, a mangrove Caye with inner lakes surrounded by coral and tropical fish

Diving & snorkelling & fishing:
Green Parrot Resort can organise diving, snorkelling and fishing.

Tours:
Monkey River Jungle/River Tour, Lubaantun and Nim Li Punit, Jaguar Preserve - Cockscomb Sanctuary
