Brazil makes up nearly half the total area of South America. To the
north, west and south it borders every South American country except
Chile and Ecuador. Almost half of the country is covered by the green cap of the
Amazon rainforest, which still holds a huge number of undiscovered vegetal and animal
species, containing the remedies to many illnesses, according to biologists.
To the east, it is blessed with 4.604 miles of
unspoiled coastline, including some of the finest beaches in the
world. The beach, is not for the Brazilian, as it is in our northern
countries related to passivity under a burning sun, but this is
a magic place full of life where people come to socialise, have
fun, love or hate each other in a constant pursuit of leisure.
Brazilians know how to hold a party. The world's biggest party is
undoubtedly Carnival, a great imaginative festivity mixing the
latest unrestrained designers' creative work with ancient
traditions brought from Africa centuries ago.
Note that prices featured in the programs are not valid during Brazilian national holidays and New year's Eve (from December 28 to January 03) when many hotels increase their prices by a factor 3.
