This is an exceptional expedition along the Amazon River and its river arms onboard a regional type
vessel, exploring the Amazon Jungle far from civilisation and out of the beaten tracks.
You enjoy an amazing experience of the pristine jungle, sailing the biggest river of the world,
canoeing on inlets, oxbow lakes and thought the flooded forest, hiking trough a lush vegetation, surrounded
by a exuberant flora and mysterious fauna. A real jungle experience!
This is an adventure journey, and onboard there are no private facilities and participants sleeps in hammocks. The capacity of the
boat depends on the number of participants.
The Itinerary
Day 1 :
Pick up at your hotel at 08h:00 and transfer to Manaus Harbour. We board our ship and start sailing
towards the meeting of the waters, where the black water of the Rio Negro meets the muddy Amazon.
Arrive at the Janaufi Ecological Park, famous for its giant water lilies (Vitoria Regia)
and continuation in the direction of "Piracatuba" Region. Exploration of the area in canoe. (BD)
Day 2 :
We start the day by a morning trek through the jungle. After, we resume our sailing upstream the
Rio Negro in the direction of Rio Cuiciras. Arrival in the late afternoon and exploration of the
area in canoe.(BLD)
Day 3 :
Accompanied by a local guide, participants explore the jungle hiking thought the lush vegetation the whole day. This
is an unique opportunity to "feel" the wild atmosphere of the green ocean. Our guide explains us
everything about the flora and fauna as well as jungle survival tips. Late in the afternoon, we finally
set up our native style camp in the jungle.(BLD)
Day 4 :
After a few hours exploring the pristine jungle surrounding us, we hike back to our ship in the afternoon and
resume our sailing upstream the Rio Cueiras.(BLD)
Day 5 :
We deeply explore in our canoe the Cueiras River and the many inlets and oxbow lakes of the area, taking
all our time to enjoy the environment. At some point, we have a bit of fun, having to pass through
rapids. Return to the boat in the late afternoon. (BLD)
Day 6 :
Excursion to the "Anavilhanas" Archipelago, the biggest fluvial archipelago in the world.
After, we continue in the direction of Acaiatuba Lake which we explore in our canoe.
Arrival at the "Acaiatuba" Lodge in the late afternoon where passengers receive a welcome cocktail.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.(BLD)
Day 7 :
Transfer back to your hotel in Manauas or to the airport.(B)

It is mandatory to be outdoor-minded, as life in the jungle is tough and there is no way back.
