"Brazil"


The Amazon Clipper, 'Selly Clipper' and Selly Clipper II' are regional type vessels with comfortable private cabins, toilet facilities and night time air conditioning. They also have sundeck, bar, dining room, video equipment and library; They represent a very good and comfortable way to explore the mighty Amazon River, the jungle and Native villages.

3 days/2 nights program (departure on Monday)

Day 1:
Departure from the Tropical Hotel Pier at 14h:00 and navigating to the Xiborena Region. Canoe excursions in smaller creeks and through the flooded plains and forest to observe wildlife. At night, another canoe excursion is organised to observe nightlife, and especially to spot caimans, whose red eyes glitter in the dark. Navigation upstream "Solimoes River" (the Amazon) to Lake "Janauaca".(D)

Day 2:
Early morning canoe excursion for bird watching. After breakfast, a visit to local Cabloco Villages is organised to learn more about local customs. In the afternoon, navigation and fishing activities to catch awesome and tasty piranhas and other fishes. After dinner, night excursion to observe again nocturnal animals. (BLD)

Day3:
Navigation downstream "Solimoes" to Janauary Ecological Park. Sunrise tour, breakfast and navigation back to Manaus via the Meeting of the Waters where the black water of the Rio Negro meets the muddy Amazon. (arrival at 12h:30).(B)

4 days/3 nights program (departure on Wednesday)

Day 1:

Day 2:
Morning hike through the jungle to visit a local Native family. In the afternoon, sailing to Anavilhanas Archipelago, the biggest fluvial archipelago in the world. (BLD)

Day 3:
Morning visit to the Cabloco Village of Novo Airdo, a good opportunity to learn more about local customs. We resume our navigation downstream the Rio Negro to Praia Grande (Great beach). Canoe excursion around Acajatuba Lake and adjacent lakes, including an attempt to catch awesome and tasty piranhas and other fishes. Dinner and continuation of our sailing to Janauary Ecological Park. (BLD)

Day4:
Navigation downstream "Solimoes" to Janauary Ecological Park. Sunrise tour, breakfast and navigation back to Manaus via the Meeting of the Waters where the black water of the Rio Negro meets the muddy Amazon. (arrival at 12h:30).(B)
