"Ubajara", a small town in one of "Ceara's" mountain ranges,
offers an exuberant landscape. The mountain range has a mild
climate with
valleys and forests. Fountainheads give rise to small rivers,
little springs and waterfalls. Privileged by nature, the town
has an average
temperature of 22 degrees Celsius producing dense vegetation.
In the middle of one of the ridges lies the "Ubajara" cave with
strange rock formations m 15 different chambers, giving it a
spectacular and colorful effect. The view of the lowlands from
up on the mountain range is
also spectacular. 75 miles away from "Ubajara", in the state of
"Piaui", is the National Park "Sete Cidades". Seen from the ground,
the
strange eroded rock formations look like a collection of weird
monuments. The beaches of the state of "Ceara" are among the most
beautiful in the world. The loveliness of " Jericoacoara", 365 km
to the north of Fortaleza is indescribable. White sand and
gigantic dunes
make a strong contrast with the "caatinga" vegetation of cactus
and "jojoba" trees. "Canoa Quebrada", a small fishing village,
built on a sand
dune, located 156 km to the south of Fortaleza is perhaps "Ceara's
best known beach. At the weekends there is a lively
nightlife.
