The quality of Chilean wines owes much to the efforts of our winegrowers who took great pains in caring for thoses French vines that made of our soils their natural environment.
The Itinerary
DAY 1:
Reception at Santiago airport and transfer to your hotel.
Afternoon city tour of Santiago. We start the tour at the San Francisco Church
built between 1572 and 1618, visit the Palacio de la Moneda, the current seat of government,
the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral Church, the Main Post Office and the
The City Hall. We cross the Mapocho River driving through different residential
districts giving us an overview of the city and finish the day by a visit to the wine museum up
on the top of the San Cristobal Hill, with a permanent display of Chilean wines.
We have our first Chilean wine tasting. Return to the hotel.
DAY 2: Concha y Toro and Undurragua Vineyards
Our morning half day tour starts with a visit to one of the
most renowned vineyards located in Pirque, southeast from Santiago, strolling through its
wine cellars, with time to test one of the top quality wines produced in this vineyard.
In the afternoon, we drive to the Undurraga vineyard, for a complete visit
and wine tasting. Return to Santiago. Return to the hotel.(B)
DAY 3: Colchagua Valley Wine Route
Morning tour into the Chilean countryside towards the Colchagua
Wine Valley, 150 Km South of Santiago. We visit two vineyards,
producing high quality exportation wines (wine tasting sessions).
Lunch is served in one of the vineyards or in a traditional
restaurant. In the afternoon, we visit the Colchagua museum,
which has a complete display of the history of South America and
Chilean Central Region, including Prehispanic artefacts. (B)
DAY 4: Veramonte or Mumm Vineyard
On our way to Valparaiso, we observe the variety of scenery
and vegetation of the famous grape producing Casablanca valley.
We visit the Veramonte or Mumm vineyard, and then head to Valparaiso
still the main commercial port of Chile.
We drive along the National Congress building
and then along Pedro Montt Avenue and
the Italian Park, Victoria Square and the Cathedral. After
this, we cross the Chinese Quarter, the monument
to the heroes of Iquique, Prat Quay, the historic elevators
of the Port of Valparaiso, the former Customs House and the
El Membrillo cove. We then take the coastal road to Vina
del Mar, also known as "The Garden City". Our trip
continues along the coast and the beaches of The Marines,
Las Salinas, Renaca and Cochoa beaches and up to
the sea-wolf viewing point. Return to the hotel in Santiago.

DAY 5:
Last minute shopping before leaving for the airport (B).
