Introduction to Colombia

Colombia is the country of passsion, a land replete with surprises and contrasts, a land that encompasses every tropical environment, from the snow-capped peaks of the Andes Mountains to the warm beaches of the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and from the exuberant Amazon rainforest to the arid deserts of La Guajira in the northeast close to the Caribbean, the Savannah and the islands. Colombia is also a modern and dynamic country that preserves invaluable treasures from its aboriginal and colonial past such as the culture, the food, the historic ruins, the colonial buildings, the archeological sites and so much more. Colombia has all the ingredients somebody needs to have a marvellous holiday. It is a land of various geograhical extremes and of an amazing diversity of flora and fauna as well as from cultural to extreme adventures in a country not over travelled by tourists. In Colombia you still have the feeling there are things to discover. If you like adventure, travel in a country with an enormous diversity of nature and culture, if you want to meet the nicest people of South America, then definitely Colombia is the right destination.
