The vagabundo program is designed for the convenience of today's more
sophisticated and adventurous traveller. Unlike the usual tour program, the
vagabundo is self guided, which means total freedom.
Short but sweet, this mini-vacation in Costa Rica will lead you from San Jose,
across the highest point on the Pan American Highway, down from the cool mountains
to the tropical village of Dominical on the Pacific Coast where you reside in
bungalows nestled within a forest. The journey continues through the highlands
near Poas Volcano and on to La Fortuna, the staging area for the fiery antics of
Arenal Volcano. A ride back to San Jose completes this adventure.
The Itinerary
Day 1:
Meet and greet at airport, transfer to Hotel Britannia for your first night.
Day 2:
Today you pick up your bike and ride to Villas Rio Mar at Dominical Beach, south of Dominical on the Pacific Coast.
On the way you cross the Cerro de la Muerte and the cloud forest. overnight at Villas Rio Mar. (B)
Day 3:
Ride to Poas Volcano Lodge, alongside the active Poas Volcano. You havce the chance to see one of the few active
volcanoes on the continent accessible by a good road. Overnight at Poas Volcano Lodge in standard room (B)
Day 4:
Ride to Montana de Fuego Lodge at the base of the world famous Arenal Volcano. The flawless silhouette of Arenal Volcano, its
loud rumblings and frequent explosions of lava and ash are a sight not to be missed by any visitor to Costa Rica. Overnight at Montana de Fuego Lodge in standard room
Day 5:
Ride to Tamarindo Beach and overnight at the luxurious Cala Luna Hotel. Overnight at Cala Luna Hotel in standard Room (B)
Day 6:
At leisure to explore Tamarindo or relax on the beach. Overnight at Cala Luna (B)
Day 7:
Ride back to San Jose and return the bike. Overnight at Hotel Britannia in standard room (B)
Day 8:
Transfer back to airport for flight home or continuation of your journey.(B)

Included:
Greeting at the airport by one of our staff and transport to the hotel in San Jose, comprehensive
briefing on riding in Costa Rica, an assortment of maps, routing notes and travel suggestions,
a staff member to accompany you on your first day providing valuable riding tips and orientation, breakfast
every morning (except day 4), accommodation day 1 to 7, rental of F650 BMW motorbike, insurance and
unlimited miles. All motorbikes have Givi Bags (saddle bags) and tank bags on request.
Requirements:
Valid motorcycle license, credit card deposit for USD 1.500 as guarantee for damage and/or USD 1.500
in case of total loss of bike, your own helmet.
