Throughout the year, you can raft in mild rivers or rivers with difficult whitewater. Teamwork and fun are the key elements of paddle rafting!! With paddle in hand, your guide helps you navigate the rapids.

The Lo.....ng Run Ecuador's longest 1 day raft trip - 2 rivers - 42 rapids - 27 km
The Rios Blanco and Toachi are a fantastic introduction to the rivers of Ecuador. Flowing off the coastal side of the Andes, they have some of the longest navigable sections of whitewater in the country. Combine this with the sights and sounds of the forest environment we pass through and you are guaranteed a day to remember.
The day starts at 6:30 a.m. when we pick you up from your hotel. We travel west down through beautiful cloud forest to the shores of the river. The journey takes 2-3 hours depending on which section of the river we are going to run - water levels change throughout the year so we choose the best section at the time of your trip with both safety and enjoyment as our priorities. During the day you'll be treated to a delicious lunch, including fresh tropical fruits, served with soft drinks, juice and water. At the end of the trip we celebrate a fun day on the river with icy cold beer. We return to your hotel in Quito around 6:30 p.m..

The Double Run 2 days of rapid action
After the challenges and rewards of the Lo...ng Run, we return to Hosteria La Cascada alongside the river, where the sound of the water is a constant reminder of our adventure. Here we can relive our experiences as we enjoy a delicious dinner and a few celebratory drinks.
On day two, we head back to the river for more whitewater action but also have the chance to catch our breath and take in the splendour of the surroundings.

The Jungle Run through Namangosa Gorge
A journey down the Upano River is a very special experience. Rafting the Upano we witness the many moods and changing character of a jungle river. We set off on a shallow and braided river having to choose a route where the waters divide into numerous channels. The pace steadily increases until the river plunges into the magnificent Namangosa Gorge. Here we tackle rapids up to grade IV+ in the midst of virgin rainforest and the spectacle of dozens of waterfalls cascading from the lip of the gorge. Finally, the river broadens and deepens to become a calm but powerful giant on its way to meet the Amazon River. One of the highlights of this trip is the night we spend camped by a Shuar settlement. Here we have the opportunity to visit a traditional farm and learn about the Shuar way of life.

The Jungle Run: professional guides, complete rafting and group camping equipment, all meals on the river (i.e. from dinner Day 1 to lunch Day 5), transport from Macas to the river and back. Price does not include meals in Macas and additional personal expenses.

Departures:
The Lo...ng Run and the Double Run: daily, the Jungle Run: Mondays from October to March.

Commitment to Safety:
A comprehensive safety briefing will be given at the start of every trip and each crew will be trained in the paddling techniques needed to navigate our way down the river.
We use top of the line specialised rafting equipment to ensure your safety and enjoyment. This includes self-bailing rafts, US Coast Guard approved high flotation life jackets, protective helmets and light weight paddles.
We carry First Aid, raft repair and river rescue kits on every trip and our guides are trained to use them!
We carry a cellular telephone on every trip for emergency communication.
